Through knowing about the different climate in different parts of the world, as well as the available natural resources in those countries, children learnt to be resourceful while constructing their thoughts on building a house that suits the climate. In the process of identifying the type of climate, children learnt about the weather of countries near to the equator compared to that of the north & south pole. With the various skills (strategizing,planning,checking)and knowledge (area & perimeter,stable structure,center of gravity)learnt, children set up a tent which requires them to put their skills and knowledge into full use inorder to be successful.

Children also learnt that lights are required in a house. We saw through pictures how wires run in the walls to bring electricity through the mains. All children celebrated that moment of amazement when the bulb was lighted up using battery from their home.
